Emma’s background

• Studied law but decided not to qualify
• Wanted to use her legal knowledge in a more commercial, people-focused and target-based environment
• Originally specialised in private practice
• Joined the in-house team at Hudson in 2007 as an Associate Consultant
• Promoted to Consultant in 2008

Sarita Rai: 0207 1876685

Sarita thoroughly enjoys specialising in in-house permanent recruitment into the TMT sector and in particular thrives on understanding the businesses that she works with and building partnerships with them.

Sarita’s background

• Qualified and worked as a solicitor in private practice with the view that beginning her career as a lawyer would give her a solid grounding whichever direction she decided to take
• Soon realised that she was more interested in helping lawyers than doing the work of a lawyer and made the switch to legal recruitment at Hudson in 2005
• Currently a Senior Consultant

Monique Mullins: 0207 1876699

Monique is responsible for the Legal In-house and Interim teams.  She has never looked back since her switch from law to recruitment.  She has the satisfaction of knowing that her legal studies and training were not in vain and that they contribute daily to her success in a more commercially driven career.

Monique’s background

• Qualified as a solicitor in Australia in 1998 and spent two years working in private practice in insurance litigation
• Enjoyed the client contact, attending at court and negotiating resolutions to matters but realised that the long solitary hours, spent with files and paperwork, were not going to satisfy her in the long term
• Asked friends about working in recruitment and like many former lawyers, decided to use her legal skills to pursue this course
• Spent her first year in recruitment in Australia and thrived in an environment where her whole role focused on her favourite aspects of practising law - spending her days communicating with a range of individuals (both her clients and candidates) and assisting them in finding real solutions
• Moved to the UK in 2001 and joined Hudson to focus on recruiting lawyers for permanent and interim roles at investment banks and other financial institutions
• Now an Associate Director of Hudson

David von Dadelszen: 0207 1876692

David focuses on recruiting temporary and contract lawyers into the IT, Telecommunications, and Media sectors in London and the South-East. 

David’s background

• Qualified as a lawyer in a top IP firm in New Zealand 
• Arrived in the UK in 2004 and worked as an in-house lawyer in London and the South East advising on a broad range of IT/IP and commercial issues
• While working on some interesting matters in a friendly in-house team and at a decent salary, the realisation hit: he didn't want to be a lawyer
• Joined Hudson two and a half years ago
• Still prefers getting paid to find roles for lawyers than being a lawyer himself!

Julian Baptiste: 0207 1876722

Julian focuses on recruiting lawyers into the Technology, Telecommunications and Media sectors. 

Julian’s background

• Began his legal career as a Paralegal Manager at Freshfields, where he was seconded to Brunei to work in-house for the Government of Brunei and Brunei Investment Agency
• Subsequently trained and qualified as a solicitor in the UK with media and entertainment law firm Sheridans
• Later moved to Addleshaw Goddard which he thoroughly enjoyed
• Came to the realisation that, having had some amazing experiences in his own legal career, he would far more enjoy providing exciting opportunities to others by helping them in their career progression
• Joined Hudson in 2006 at two years’ pqe

Claire Hornsby: 0207 1876684
Claire specialises in the recruitment of in-house lawyers into the retail and energy sectors. She enjoys working in a people focussed environment and obtaining a deep understanding of her clients' and candidates' needs.
Claire’s background

• Qualified as a solicitor with a magic circle firm and worked as an in-house lawyer at an international hotel company
• Soon realised that she was more motivated by interacting with people than producing legal documents
• Joined the in-house permanent legal team at Hudson in 2008 and has not looked back!
