Though this section is called Morefortrainees, that is not to say that the rest of the site won't be of interest to trainees - in some ways, the fact that you have already chosen your training contract means you might be more interested in the Moretolawfirms section which looks at the long-term lifestyle options at law firms.

Of course, picking a law firm for a training contract is not just about the question of lifestyle.  However, if you are lucky enough to have offers from a number of firms, all of which are similar in terms of the nature of their work and prestige, the question of whether you have a life and how trainees are treated is very relevant.  Law firms that care about whether their trainees spend all night stood by the photocopier (or, these days, the scanner) will not only provide a more tolerable lifestyle but a better training too.
